Frequently Asked Questions

The Yoddha Race is India's one-of-a-kind fitness competition. This race combines running with functional workouts, where athletes are tested through 7 intense workout zones after every 700-meter run. The Yoddha Race features five categories — Male Open, Female Open, Male Doubles, Female Doubles, and Mixed Doubles — allowing fitness enthusiasts from all backgrounds to challenge their limits and be part of India's first functional fitness race.

Anybody who is a fitness enthusiast and is 16 years or older can participate in The Yoddha Race. From gym enthusiasts, cyclists, sportspersons, fitness clubs to those who simply love running — anyone can take part in India’s first functional fitness race. However, it is recommended that you have a basic fitness background, as this race is a combination of running and functional workouts that focus on natural, everyday movement patterns. The Yoddha Race comes in five categories — Male Open, Female Open, Male Doubles, Female Doubles, and Mixed Doubles — allowing everyone to participate and challenge themselves in the way they like.

The Yoddha Race follows a season format, with multiple regional events held across different cities in India, culminating in one grand finale for the Open Categories — where the title of India’s Fittest is awarded. Season 2 features 09 regional events, each leading up to the ultimate showdown at the season finale. The Yoddha Race is conducted outdoors, in large open spaces to accommodate a high number of athletes. Depending on the city, the event may be divided into sessions to ensure a level playing field for all participants across different time slots and conditions.

The Yoddha Race Season 02 features nine regional events across India, with all five categories open for participation. While the Doubles categories (Male, Female, and Mixed) conclude at the regional level with winners being awarded on the same day, the Male Open and Female Open categories serve as qualifiers for the grand finale. Athletes in the open categories must aim for their best race completion times, as a dynamic leaderboard will be maintained throughout the season. Rankings will update after each regional, based on timing performance. After all regionals are completed, the top 100 Male Open athletes will move to the semi-finals, which take place on the finals day morning. From there, the top 25 advance to the finale held later that evening. For the Female Open category, the top 25 athletes from the leaderboard directly qualify for the finale of The Yoddha Race.

The Yoddha Race Doubles Category gives you the chance to compete side by side with a partner — whether it's your father, sister, best friend, spouse, or training buddy — and push your limits together to earn the title of India's Fittest Duo. In this category, both athletes must run the 700m stretches together, while the workouts can be shared as per the official rulebook. A workout can only begin once both athletes enter the workout zone, and while one is performing the workout, the other must stay beside their partner or within the marked area unless they choose to switch roles. The Doubles Category concludes at the regional level itself, with no finals conducted beyond the regionals.

Yes, athletes are allowed to participate in multiple categories, but it's recommended to consider your fitness level and choose based on your primary focus and goals. Athletes competing in the Open categories can also take part in multiple regional events to challenge themselves and improve their timing. This helps strengthen their position on the dynamic leaderboard and increases their chances of qualifying for the finale.

In The Yoddha Race Season 02, athletes will be awarded The Yoddha Medal only upon completing the entire race, meeting all repetition and distance requirements, and finishing within 90 minutes without disqualification. The Yoddha Medal is more than just a finisher's reward — it's a symbol of the grit and determination you've shown through your training and performance on race day. It represents your triumph in India's very own functional fitness challenge and proves that you are far stronger than you think.
